To the press: The cedars group

A press Brief as signed and released by the Founder of CEDARS, Egwu Nnanna Echem

The cedars group is an interdenominational, nondenominational Christian group involved in gospel themed theatre art. Cedars, with a motto “The Word in Motion”, has grown from just a Christian populated theatrical group, into a development café, a conglomerate with subdivisions for Choreography, Spoken-Word Poetry, Music, Drama, Creative Writing, Graphic Design, Idea Generation
, Artiste Management & Advertising. We recognize the difference between “Entertaining” and “Evangelizing” and know the pathway to fusing both. Our arts are not our ministries, but techniques to aid the ministry of reconciliation we all have.
CEDARS LIVE IN CONCERT, fondly called “CLIC”,

was designed to elevate the genre of Gospel. On May the 13th, we are scheduled to hold this interdenominational, nondenominational event that will foster ecumenism and excellence among the Christian students and promote healthy competition among the talents of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
We aim to create a platform for the unification of gospel acts and for their further exposure to the Christian community and Artistic Industry in Nigeria to the end of rejuvenating the morality of the youth in our contemporary society and redefining their values; we started from the UNN (University of Nigeria, Nsukka) and this year’s concert integrates “CEDARS Awards” after a very successful concert last year.

This event will also further draw the attention of the nation to the university as an example of peace, excellence and a pioneer of Christian awards among the tertiary institutions in the entire country.
We accept invitations to various platforms ranging from Churches to NGO’s. To contact us, simply Log on to our website: www.cedars.com.ng or do so through our email cedars.unn@gmail.com.
We strongly believe in the future of Nigeria, and the happiness of Christians. IHSWe also believe in the necessity of growth, development and progression of youths in arts whether Christian or secular. We are not trying to bridge the gap between the two, we are here to redefine that gap, in our own language.
