I cry for my beloved country.

VOLUME 1
" Lately when we see them talk of CHANGE, they say it is the turnout to become the leader of the people, tell them I have been there many time before and no one can trick me with honey mouth again. Lately, when we meet them, they flex their muscles up. They talk about bravery and courage never seen, tell them I know book and heroes, I dey beg.
Real man na for action o, no be for mouth o..."
Let me wish you a Happy Independence day with the above extract from Beautiful Nubia's song, titled Kurunmi. Beautiful Nubia can be prophetic.
Like our palm, we know what the promised CHANGE was and by now, even their media soldier boys know the results. Nigeria is in economic recession.
Our independence is going down the lane as our assets are out for sales, and you and I will depend on the CHANGE ambassadors' Capitalist friends. Don't forget the budget we are struggling to mobilise is subjected to padding. Ask them what the failure is, they tell you stories of the struggle in the trench of looted treasures.
I want to ask, why chasing those on the run? Why not start with those around Mr. President's desk? I think the fight against corruption should not first be taken to the past but it should be a fight from now into the future. Government should monitor the present and prospective commitments against corruption and revive our economy. And gradually, the runners will come to rest behind the bar.
I even heard and confirm how billions of Naira was distributed even in the face of recession during the controversial APC primary election lately conducted in Ondo state. "Well done!" (in Falz tune). I can see you guys have nothing good for us, even as the least of you displayed outright despiracy and insincerity in both conduct of the election and reaction to it result. Who is fooling who?
Before I get carried away by the drama of these sweepers, let me remind Nigerians that year in year out, there has been more reasons to cry for our beloved country on Independence day than celebrate. But do you think it all about the failures of these bunches of failing leaders? Don't you think you and I has some failures as a follower?
Is it no you who faked it as a delegate during primary elections? Are you not one of my people that are paid to vote? Have you forgotten how insincere you canvas a candidate just because you are paid to do so?
Let come to talk of it, why not jointly let this old man and his people know it is bad down here and we are suffering even though his wife rocks designers.
AND I CRY FOR MY BELOVED country NIGERIA, where are the compatriots that will save this drowning Giant?
"I wake up at night to see Africa on fire"- Majek Fashek.
Am forced to cry in Majek Fashek tune; I wake up at night and see Nigeria on fire! Fire o, fire o, fire ooo! You better beware, my people beware now!
My prayer for Nigeria;
Dear God, have mercy on us. For our ways are sinful, deliver Nigeria from recession and it's agents. Lead us to our fullness as a nation, that we may bless your name forever. Amen.
